Have you ever wondered why beer drinking, eating large quantities of meat and junk food, choking down your feelings,
and not taking care of yourself in general are considered manly? I don’t know how it is in the rest of the world, but this is typical behavior in the South. The irony is that these lifestyle habits will leave you weak and sick; that’s not manly at all, at least it shouldn’t be. Many men today are living with ailing health. The top two killers of men today are still heart disease and cancer. The good news is that diet and lifestyle are large contributors to both diseases, and making the correct
lifestyle changes can prevent and even reverse these two scary conditions.
The risk of developing heart disease can be almost entirely prevented by eating a diet chock-full of produce, and in most cases, it can be arrested and even reversed by the same plant-based diet. Dr. Christopher was way ahead of his time; he was helping people overcome
heart disease with a regenerative diet and herbs long before the medical establishment admitted that this was possible. Who am I kidding? The medical establishment still doesn’t admit this fact, but we have Dr. Caldwell Esselystyn, Dr. John McDougall, and Dr. Dean Ornish who have all helped patients arrest and reverse their heart disease using plant-based diets. But you probably haven’t heard about it; these doctors don’t receive a lot of publicity, and there is too much money to lose. So, if
you have heart disease or want to avoid it, adopt a plant-based diet along with the herbs cayenne, hawthorn, and garlic. To add the finishing touches, adopt a balanced exercise routine consisting of cardiovascular exercise and some type of resistance training.
Cancer has to be one of the most frightening ailments known to man. We have been taught
that cancer is unpreventable and that there isn’t a cure. This isn’t true; if you take a few minutes on PubMed, you will come across a study stating that only 5 – 10% of all cancer cases can be attributed to genetic defects and that 90 – 95% of cancer cases are caused by environmental pollutants and lifestyle. Was Dr. Christopher a part of this study? It sure sounds like him. He taught us that cancer was cell deterioration caused by improper diet, toxicity, and a dirty bloodstream. Emotional and
mental stress can contribute as well, but unfortunately, today's environment is even more polluted than the one Dr. Christopher was living in. The silver lining is that you have a huge amount of control over your health destiny, even when it comes to cancer. The School of Natural Healing’s foundation is based on nourishing and cleansing the body. Where cancer is concerned, Dr. Christopher’s Incurables Program would be a great place to start to assist your body rid itself of cancer. In today’s
world, I always recommend using the cleansing kit a few times a year to cleanse the body to help prevent getting sick in the first place.
Mental health seems to be of the least importance when it comes to a man’s health, but I believe mental health is a huge part of the health puzzle. Most men are raised to suppress their emotions, not cry,
and just suck it up, right? Most men don’t talk about their problems and tend to choke them down with junk food, alcohol, and other harmful practices. Suppressing your emotions can negatively impact your overall health; it could be the very thing that is preventing you from getting well again. If you want to live a healthier and happier life, you must address your mental health. Find someone to talk to; this could be a trusted friend, pastor, or mental health professional. Know that it is OK to
be a man and express your emotions. It takes more courage to express your emotions than to keep them buried, and that is indeed a manly thing.
