What are nerve sheaths? Your body makes a fatty-protein coating (myelin) for your nerves to protect and assure proper nerve signal delivery and speed. This myelin sheath is similar to the plastic coating on electrical appliance cords. If the coating wears off, the signal weakens, diminishes, diverts and can cause interrupted functioning, or failure of the appliance. Any object the cord contacts could be ill affected; like catching fire or shocking sensations to handlers.
Similar effects are experienced in the body when the nerve sheaths erode. Nerves affect all parts of the body including muscles, sensory organs and especially your brain. A few symptoms that could be signs of nerve sheath damage include vision problems, walking and balance problems, numbness, weakness, fatigue, pain, bowel and bladder problems, cognitive problems and erratic mood swings.
The myelin nerve sheath can be repaired. Many nutrients are needed to repair the nerve sheath and, like an assembly line in a factory, if one component is missing the assembly line shuts down. In myelin repair all nutrients must be present or the repair doesn’t take place. It would be impossible to include all components in a supplement
to repair the myelin nerve sheath. However, these diverse and numerous nutrients are found in the mucusless diet as advocated by Dr. Christopher. A quick list of the foods in this diet are fresh fruits, vegetables, whole sprouted grains, nuts and seeds.
The Nerve Sheath Formula helps the body repair the myelin nerve sheath and also contains some of the components (like uridine) that are harder to get in your regular diet.
Most nerve disorders are helped with the herb skullcap. This herb
also supplies zinc and copper, without which nerve sheath repair doesn’t happen.
Cayenne stimulates the production of myelin nerve sheath and provides zinc, vitamin C and safe amounts of lithium which must be present for sheath repair.
Bilberry also provides a good supply of zinc as well as flavonoids.
Nutritional yeast provides many nutrients, especially all the B vitamins particularly biotin and B-12.
Flax provides omega fatty acids.
Kelp provides necessary iodine in safe and plentiful amounts.
Lion’s mane promotes the manufacturing of myelin nerve sheath.
Hops provides uridine, one of the least available nutrients for myelin repair.
Ginkgo increases myelinated oxons which are an absolute component of myelin.
Dandelion
and raw cacao are the highest sources of plant-based iron, which is also needed to produce myelin nerve sheath.
The myelin sheath can be eroded through normal body functioning and is destroyed by auto immune diseases like multiple sclerosis. With any
autoimmune disease, Dr. Christopher’s Immucalm formula in high doses of 5 capsules 5 times per day can calm down the action of the immune system, which allows the body to repair the myelin nerve sheath. The Nerve Sheath Formula is used to provide the nutrients the body needs as it works on repairing the nerve sheath. The Complete Tissue and Bone Formula is also helpful in providing nutrients for repairs anywhere in the body, including the nerve sheath. When using Dr. Christopher Formulas we
separate them by at least 30 minutes to attain the full benefit of the formula.
Remember, a junk food diet can never repair nerve sheath damage and can contribute to losing myelin. So, let’s change our ways by eating wholesome foods and using our
Creators natural medicine chest of herbs.
