The Invisible Underlying Cause of Many Diseases
By David Christopher, MH
When we experience illness and seek help, we often get a diagnosis and subsequent prescription, which may offer little to no results. Many of us then try many remedies and other protocols that are successful for others but have no effect for us. Because of our persistent symptoms we keep trying different remedies with no results. Some of these symptoms may
be as common as lethargy, insomnia, nausea, foggy brain, dementia, lung and other organ malaise.
Before giving up we may want to consider a health concern that is missed by even the best practitioners. This underlying condition is ubiquitous, invisible, present in our workplaces, restaurants, homes, hospitals, gardens, service stations and even outdoors. It can be undetectable in small amounts but the cumulative effect over time can cause serious
health problems and even result in life or death scenarios.
We are talking about heavy metal toxicity.
Not only should we be concerned with metals that have no place in our bodies, like lead, cadmium, aluminum, and mercury, but also beneficial metals in excess, like iron, copper, zinc, manganese, and other essential minerals. These essential minerals are never a problem if we consume them as they naturally occur in foods. Overdosing can be a problem if
consuming essential minerals in concentrated supplements.
Metals that have no place in our bodies embed in tissues and damage our cell structure 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. Our bodies have ways of removing these heavy metals through chelation. One of the protective agents our bodies produce is called metallothionine, which are proteins manufactured by the body that attach to metals and carry them out
via our elimination system. Most fruits and vegetables help the body chelate metals, but tomatoes not only have chelating properties but are the only known food that promotes the production of metal chelating proteins (metallothionine).1
From various studies I discovered that the best foods to remove heavy metal toxicity are organic strawberries, tomatoes, cilantro, and peanut butter.2 Daily doses of Dr. Christopher’s Heavy Mineral Bugleweed Formula in combination with one-hour hot baths (with two cups of Epsom salts in the bath water) and drinking one quart of hot yarrow tea while in the
tub, is also very effective at removing heavy minerals. In addition to this, juice cleansing will help resolve an overdose state.
Finally, we should avoid these heavy metals whenever possible. Aluminum is found in antiperspirants, food packaging, cookware and of course is an adjuvant in vaccines. Mercury is found in some seafood, dental products, and again in vaccines.
I hope these simple solutions help you remove the cause of so many diseases.

5 cloves garlic, minced
2+ jalapeño peppers (seeded, deveined, and finely chopped)
4-5 cups finely chopped Roma tomatoes
1 ½ cups finely chopped onion
1 ½ cups chopped cilantro
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon lime zest
3 Tablespoons lime juice (approximately 1-2 limes)
1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and refrigerate (at least an hour – better overnight)
2. Season with salt and lime juice according to taste.
Seeded jalapeño peppers are not that spicy in this salsa. Feel free to continue adding peppers to reach a mild heat – of course spice is all to taste!
